We can provide various types of custom double glazing/insulation glass.
Double glazing consists of two panes of glass that are airtight connected. Between the 2 panes of glass is a metal frame, creating space. This is also called the "cavity. The cavity is filled with dry air or a gas filling, for example Argon, Krypton or Xenon gas. A gas filling contributes to a better insulation value, thus a lower U-value. The lower the U-value of the glass, the better the custom double glazing insulates.
HR++ glazing is double glazing with optimal thermal insulation. HR++ insulates better than double glazing. This is because a very thin coating is applied to one side of the glass and the cavity is not filled with air but with a special insulating gas. Usually this is noble gas Argon. The invisible coating on the inner glass lets sun rays pass through and reflects heat into the house. It depends on the rebate whether one can choose double glazing or HR++. HR stands for high efficiency. The more pluses the better the insulation. If one replaces "ordinary" double glazing with HR++, one easily saves 300 m³ of gas per year.
Hot summers can raise the temperature in a home or office considerably. For example, sunrooms can get extremely hot in the summer. Solar control double glazing ensures that the heat is reflected. This way, less heat enters the living room. AA Glass supplies heat-reflective glass of the highest quality.
Are you dealing with noise pollution? Then custom soundproof glass is a good choice. As the name suggests, soundproof double glazing ensures that noise is kept out. It does not restrict the natural incidence of light. AA Glass is an expert in sound insulation with glass.
In the past, homes were generally fitted with single-pane glass with a slight bias. However, this glass had no insulating effect. Having single-glazing replaced with double-glazing is a costly affair for many because in most cases the window frames must also be replaced. With Old-Style monument glass, this is not necessary. We can custom fit the ultra thin insulating glass into the existing window frames, preserving the historic appearance of the building.
